Harris

Raised in the suburbs of Baltimore County, I was the middle child of five with a Jewish father and Italian mother. As a result, I grew up to appreciate the diverse customs and foods of each, as well as the parties that came with celebrating them. My mom loved to bake, but when it came to cooking, forget about it! Her mother, my grandmother was another story; everything she made had such great flavor. Cooking was her passion. Naturally, I gravitated to my Grandmother’s style of cooking, which has influenced me to become the Italian-style cook I am today.
I married at the age of 21 and was blessed with two amazing children, Leah and Brenden. Sadly, my marriage didn’t work out, however Muriel and I maintain a wonderful relationship and always will, as aside from Dave there is no one in this world I am closer to.
Dave and I joined forces 1999. We had so much in common from the start, as we grew up in large families, had unconventional mothers, down to earth fathers, and were previously married with children. Also, we both share the love of family, friends, entertaining, good food, antiques, decorating, style, fashion, travel, and the list goes on.
The idea of the blog came from our children. How lucky am I to be so fortunate to have such a wonderful family? I hope you enjoy our blog! Cheers!!
